1. General Agreement & Terminology

In these Terms & Conditions, "we", "us", "our", and "Studio" refer to Jaipur Carpet Studio. The terms "you", "Client", and "User" refer to the viewer or customer of our website. These terms govern your use of the website and the purchase of any handcrafted goods or services provided by us.

2. The "Request a Quote" Model & Pricing

We specialize in premium, hand-knotted luxury rugs. Due to the bespoke nature of our products and fluctuating global shipping logistics, we operate on a "Request a Quote" basis rather than direct online checkout.

• All quotations provided by our team are valid for 14 days from the date of issuance unless stated otherwise.
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but any confirmed and paid order will honor the quoted price.
• Invoices will clearly state the cost of the rug, applicable taxes, and any specialized shipping or white-glove delivery charges.

3. Product Representation & Handmade Variations

Our rugs are not machine-made; they are woven by human hands over several months. As a result, each masterpiece is uniquely distinct.

• Color Variations: While we strive for absolute accuracy in our photography, natural wool and silk reflect light differently. Slight variations in color from the website images are a hallmark of natural, hand-dyed yarns and are not considered defects.
• Size Tolerance: Due to the tension of the loom and the hand-knotting process, final dimensions of a rug may vary slightly (up to 3-5%) from the requested size. This is a globally accepted standard for authentic handmade rugs.

4. Bespoke Commissions & Custom Orders

Commissioning a custom rug is a collaborative and dedicated process between the Client and our artisans.

• A non-refundable advance payment (as stated in your official quote) is required to commence the looming process for any custom or bespoke order.
• Once the production of a custom rug has begun on the loom, the order cannot be canceled, altered, or refunded.
• Lead times for bespoke rugs are estimates based on design complexity and size. While we strive to meet deadlines, delays due to intricate craftsmanship or unforeseen logistical issues will be communicated promptly.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this website—including but not limited to rug designs, patterns, photographs, text, logos, and graphics—is the exclusive intellectual property of Jaipur Carpet Studio. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of our designs or imagery is strictly prohibited and protected by international copyright laws.

6. Shipping, Customs & Duties

We proudly ship our heritage rugs globally. However, for international clients, please be aware that customs policies vary widely from country to country.

• The Client is solely responsible for any import duties, customs taxes, or local clearance fees levied by the destination country.
• Jaipur Carpet Studio is not liable for delays caused by customs clearance processes.

7. Limitation of Liability

Jaipur Carpet Studio shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a purchased item shall not exceed the purchase price of that specific item.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions, and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services or products, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.
