Born into humble beginnings near Jaipur, Ustad Bashir Khan had no formal training and no modern tools. Yet his commitment to quality was absolute. He studied intricate patterns drawn from Indian heritage, unpicking older rugs to understand their structure, spending years mastering every knot by hand. His early customers noticed the difference — and word spread through quality alone, not advertising.
But his vision extended beyond the loom. Recognising the untapped skills of women in his community, he began training rural artisans — many of them village women — giving them dignified employment at a time when such opportunities were rare. His son Gafur Khan inherited both the business and the values — expanding our reach through trust, one buyer relationship at a time.
